Introduction
This Privacy Policy is an official policy relating to the collection and use of information derived from Amazon. This policy explains how and why Reputon collects, processes, stores, uses and shares the Amazon data. Reputon is committed to complying with applicable laws governing the collection and use of personal information and to protecting and safeguarding Amazon privacy. Reputon Amazon Sales Channel App will be referred as the App throughout this article.
How and what Amazon data do we collect?
Reputon collects information in the course of the App usage in order to provide the App customers with Amazon Orders and Inventory management capability. Without this information, Reputon may be unable to provide the full functionality of the App.
When a user creates an account or logs into his account, we collect the following personal information: first name, last name and email address.
Upon approving the App access to the user's Amazon Seller account, Reputon also collects the following information:
- User's Shopify shop information via Shopify’s Shop API such as shop’s email address, domain, email, country, etc. The full list of this data can be found here https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-rest/2023-04/resources/shop
- Shopify payment & transaction information (such as merchant’s name, email, payment method, and chargeable amount for the service)
- Shopify order information - order id, order number, product title, product id, tracking number, tracking URL, total price, customer name, customer address.
- Shopify inventory information - products SKU, title, price, quantity
- Amazon products information - product SKU, title, price, quantity
- Amazon order information - order id, order number, product title, product id, tracking number, tracking URL, total price, customer name, customer address
Amazon Web Service (AWS) is a key 3rd party data processor as Reputon's cloud infrastructure service provider and is responsible for the security of the cloud infrastructure used by Reputon. AWS provides highly secure data centers utilizing state-of-the-art electronic surveillance and multi-factor access control systems. Data centers are staffed 24x7 by trained security guards and access is authorized strictly on a least privileged basis, limited to system administration purposes.
How Amazon information will be used?
The Amazon data will be used to to enable the App user to sync the Amazon inventory price, quantity, fulfil Amazon orders, generate shipping labels from within the App.
What data is shared outside of Reputon and why?
Amazon data is not shared with any 3rd party, except the App user (authorized owner of the Amazon Seller account).
Who has access to Amazon data within the organization?
Within Reputon, access to Amazon data is limited to those employees, who require access in order to provide the customer support for the App, if any required. Those staff members may be on teams such as development, executive, and customer support. Employees only have access to data that is relevant to their team, on a ‘need to know’ basis.
Data Transfer, Security, Storage and Retention
By installing, accessing or using the App, the user agrees and consents to the cross-border transfer of some information and/or data. Reputon uses third parties, including Amazon Web Services to host its emails, databases, and systems and has entered into suitable agreements to protect customers' data. The providers are solely located in the United States of America. Reputon uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of personally identifiable information, including having secure data networks protected by industry standard firewalls, VPNs and password protection systems. Data transmission over the Internet by the user is encrypted via SSL standards (AES-128 with 2048-bit key size).
The Amazon orders data (PII data) will be removed after 30 days of the order delivery. The Amazon inventory data (product SKU, title, price, quantity) together with Shopify data (inventory, orders) will be removed at the moment of the App uninstallation by the user.
