This Privacy Policy explains how Reputon (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you install or use any of our Shopify applications (“Apps”).

1. Apps covered

This Privacy Policy applies to the following applications:

  • Reputon Customer Reviews

  • Reputon Google Reviews

  • Reputon Testimonials Slider

  • Reputon Etsy Reviews

  • Reputon Amazon Reviews

  • Reputon Facebook Reviews

  • Reputon Amazon Importer

  • Reputon eBay Reviews

  • Reputon Blog & Page Builder

2. Information we access

We only access information that is necessary to provide the features of each App you install. The specific data we access depends on the Shopify API permissions you approve at installation.

a. Shop information (all apps)

We access shop-level data provided by Shopify, such as:

  • Store name, domain, email, country, language

  • Shopify plan and owner contact details

This data is needed for app setup, support, and billing.  

b. Customer or order data

Reputon Customer Reviews have access to limited customer or order information such as:

  • Customer name and email

  • Order id, order number, product title, product id, tracking number, tracking url, total price, customer address

c. Protected customer data

Includes data about customers or visitors to stores that’s available through the Customers, Orders, Online store and other Admin API resources, Customer Account API resources, or checkout UI extensions.

For Reputon eBay Importer and Reputon Amazon Importer, limited access to Protected Customer Data may be used during checkout solely to update product availability and pricing in real time.

This data is used only for this purpose, is not stored, and is not used for marketing or analytics.

3. How we use information

We use the data we access only to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the functionality of the Apps

  • Support merchants and troubleshoot issues

  • Improve the Apps and merchant experience

We do not sell personal data or use it for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies & tracking

We do not use cookies or tracking for marketing purposes. Functional tracking may be used to operate or support App functionality only.

5. Data retention & security

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Apps or as required by law or Shopify policy. When an App is uninstalled, associated data is deleted within 60 days. We implement reasonable security measures to protect data, including encryption and access controls.

6. Your legal rights

You have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal information held by us. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@reputon.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR.

California residents have rights under the CCPA, including:

  • Access to information we collect

  • Request deletion

  • Opt-out of data sales (we do not sell personal data)

We will not discriminate for exercising these rights.

7. International data transfers

By using our services, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred and processed outside your region, including in the United States. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards to protect personal data during international transfer.
